A large number of people and prominent citizens of the area met delimitation committee chairman, S.S. Bloeria and other members during their visit to Kalakote yesterday and submitted a memorandum of demands.
The memorandum submitted by MLC Ashok Sharma demanded creation of sub division at Kalakote and Tehsils status to Teryath and Khawas.
He also urged for creation of rural development blocks at Mogha, Baljarlian, Barmandal (Tatapani) and Dharamsal besides Niabats at Mithiani, Panjah, Dhangri, Chingus and Garan, and also setting up police stations at Chingus and Mithiani.
Among others present on the occasion were M.Y. Mughal, Som Raj Khajuria, Dr. Hazuri Lal, Parshotam Lal, Anwar Hussain, Mohd. Imtyaz, Jameet Singh, Gain Singh, Som Raj, Khem Raj, Hans Raj, Rattan Lal, Krishan Lal and Bodh Raj, and with the creation of these administrative units speedy development of these far-flung areas of District Rajouri will take place.
