| Unemployed engineers burn degrees | | |
JAMMU | JUNE 1
The unemployed engineers, who are on a protest dharna for the last 57 days and on hunger strike for the last 11 days, today held a mass protest in front of Divisional Commissioners office here and burnt the photo copies of the degree and diploma certificates.
The protestors are demanding implementation of the commitment made by the Government about their absorption under Rehber-e-Timeerat scheme, on the floor of the house on February 6 last.
The agitating engineers said that despite assurance from various ministers, nothing has been done so far and urged the government to fulfillment its commitment at the earliest.
