| Three residential houses collapse due to rain, cattle shed, shop gutted in fire | | | JAMMU AUG 8 Damages caused by the incessant rains that lashed Jammu region recently continue to pour in from far- flung areas. A police spokesman said here this evening that the residential houses of Mohammed Yaqoob and Kala Khan son of Aman Din of Behram Galla and Nishan Ali son of Matta resident of Chandi Morh were damaged due to recent rains. He said that a dental clinic belonging to Ram Lala son of Puni resident of Basant Garh was damaged due to heavy rains on August 5-6,2006 causing losses to the tune of Rs.30,000. In the meantime a cattle shed of Atta Mohammed son of Dina of Punara Ori Top Tehsil Ramnagar, gutted during the intervening night of August 5-6 in which two goats and two oxen burnt alive. The loss due to the fire has been estimated at Rs.40,000. A shop belonging to Mohammed Shafi son of Sayed Mohamed of Kandi Galutta Mendhar gutted due to electric short circuit.
