| DDC conducts public darbar at Khari, Banihal | | |
RAMBAN, JUNE 03
-A public darbar of village Khari and its adjoining areas in tehsil Banihal was conducted by Deputy Commissioner Ramban A D Shanas, in Higher Secondary School Khari. Apart from the local people all the concerned tehsil, block, niabat and zonal level officers were present in the public darbar, first of its kind.
Shanas apprised the public that as per CM’s guidelines a programme has been chalked out for holding public darbar in every tehsil, niabat, block and zone with the sole objective to sort out the problems and issues of public concern on the spot. As such the people were asked to come up with their issues and grievances with an open mind.
The locals presented a memorandum highlighting some important issues/demands of the area and decisions were taken up in consultation with the concerned officers. The issues included construction of Foot Bridge on Bichlery Orpinchal nallah, staff shortage in schools, erratic supply of APL ration, electrification of Dhanigam (Gujjar Basti), Sarachi, Nadhka villages, construction of rest house in Khari and enrollment of people under NREGA scheme.
Responding to the demands of the people of these areas, the DDC gave on the spot directions to all the concerned officers to take immediate necessary action to solve these important issues so that the people could feel a sigh of relief.
As many as 90 individual applications were disposed off on the spot.
