Jammu, Feb 2: Rashtriya Rifles Battalion, under Romeo Force, organized month long English Speaking Classes at Youth Employment Guidance Node (YEGN) Thanamandi.
According to press release, the course was started on February 2 and would culminate on March 2, 2015.
Dr Abdul Khabir, Tehsildar Thanamandi inaugurated the event amidst civil officials and prominent citizens of the area. Around 40 students from Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Government Boys Higher Secondary School and Government Degree College, Thanamandi enrolled themselves for the class.
Service of KC Paul, Principal Kerelite Public School Thanamandi will be taken to educate these students. During interaction with students of various National Integration Tours, students had expressed their inability to converse with students of other states in the country and wanted to learn English. Based on the feedback this initiative was taken to conduct English speaking classes to introduce and promote the language amongst the students. |
