Jammu, Feb 2: Sacred Heart College of Education (SHCE) in collaboration of International Volunteer Foundation (IVF) today organized 'Beti Bachao Beti Padao' awareness campaign here at college campus. According to press release, the motive behind conducting the awareness campaign is to aware the youth about the safety education and development of the girl child in our society, Dr Meenakshi Kilam (Director IQAC) was a chief guest on the occasion and the function started with the saraswati vandana by the students of the college. Then 128th Monday Theatre Series was also displayed by the young team of Eminent Theatre Artists, through their nukkad natak the group highlighted the importance of the girl child and one must pledge to save this precious gift of god, Dr Meenakshi kilam in his speech highlighted that the people of India must create an atmosphere for equality of girl child and to end the gender based discrimination in the country. We must pledge to save the girl child and educate her, Dr KK Tiwari principal of college said and adding that a girl is called as the Jannee ,she creates and let the society survives and is real maker of the society one must think before female foeticide which is a sin. A pledge was also taken by the students staffs, and dignitaries to save the girl child. In the end vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Dev Chhaya. The prgramme was concluded with the signature campaign launched by the student volunteers. The actors who acted in the play were Anuroop Pathania, Vijay Jeetu, Laksh Bali, Rahul Pandita, Kumari Nazuk, Surbhi Mahajan, Kuldeep Raj and Vijay Malla. |
