JPUF to organize protest on Feb 4 | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 2 : Jammu Pradesh United Front (JUPF) to organize peaceful protest on Wednesday from Panjtirthi Chowk and culminate here at press club. According to press release, Mankotia said that Jammu region will not tolerate the socio-political discrimination anymore and he appealed to the various political organizations, intellectuals forums and students organizations to join and support the movement on the protest day. Expressing suspicion on the credibility of the BJP-PDP alliance in forging a ruling dispensation in the state, an emergency meeting was convened by Balwant Singh Mankotia Ex-MLA and Convenor of JPUF to discuss the core issues. Mankotia further said that the ongoing dialogues between the BJP and the PDP to cobble up the ruling alliance are not contemplating any initiative to incorporate the issues pertaining to the aspirations of the people of Jammu Pradesh in their Common Minimum Programme (CMP). He said that the sensitive demands of the people on which BJP has sought the mandate from the electorate of the Jammu region in the recently held Assembly elections last year like appointment of CM a incumbent from Jammu Province and according the State Subject (Permanent Resident) rights to the West PaK refugees besides settlement of POJK refugees must be incorporated in the CMP without any delay so that the people of Jammu region can live with dignity and honour. Udey Chand, Krishan Singh Manhas, Mahesh Padha, Gagan Pratap Singh, Kailash Mohan Bhanotra and Shiv Sarshan Singh were also present on the occasion. |
