Braham Kumari Ashram holds Maha Shivratri celebrations 2/2/2015 11:45:31 PM Early Times Report Kathua, Feb 2 : Braham Kumari Ashram Kathua today started series of functions to celebrate auspicious occasion of Maha Shivratri with traditional religious zeal and gaiety in which children, youth and elders participated enthusiastically. The children presented cultural programmes comprising message about eradication of Ill-omens from the society in inaugural function. Rajinder Singh Babbi, former Chairman, Municipal Council Kathua was the chief guest on the occasion which witnessed huge gathering of followers of host Ashram. The devotees recited mantras in praise of Lord Shiva and sought blessings of their deity. Bharat Bhushan CEO, Lakhanpur-Sarthal Development Authority was also present on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion local head of Ashram, Veena Didi said, 'Bhajan purifies soul and mind that control on ill-omens of the society." She said Lord Shiva is the symbol of purity and humanity where we should follow his messages to purify the soul. Rajinder Singh Babbi, while inaugurating a Multipurpose Hall in the Ashram, expressed gratitude to the Ashram for organizing such a series of functions where divine knowledge shall be given to the followers and people of all communities.
