BAR ASSOCIATION STRIKE ENTERS THIRD DAY: IMPASSE CONTINUE

Jammu ,June 30 : The strike called by Jammu bar assocaition today entered third day as no attmepts were made by either the state machinery or the lawyers association to find a way out of the impasse.
The members remained adamant that till their demand for trasferring case from Srinaagr to Jammu was not fulfilled they would not call off the strike.
The Jammu bar association also raised slogans demanding seurity for lawyers appearing on behalf of accused inthe case and early transfer of sex scandal case from Srinagr to Jammu.
Meanwhile, reacting to the statement of the Kashmir Bar assocaition president,VS Wazir President Jammu bar assocaition said that the recent statement of the President of the Kashmir Bar Association,Mian Abdul Qayoom,that the case should not be transferred to Jammu because aJammuite was involved in the scandal was untenable because out of 14 charged so far 12 belonged to kashmir.'
Jammu bar also criticised the Kashmir Bar Association for having imposed blanket ban on lawyers intending to plead the cases of those involved in the sex scam.
