| Glaring example of nepotism, favoritism in JU | | Adhoc official included into year long committees | |
Jammu | June 3 Carrying forward the resolve of nepotism and favoritism, Incharge Central Library University of Jammu (JU) has included the name of an Adhoc official, who is also the son of a JU official, into the two vital committees of Central Library just to provide him prominence over others. Not even this, he has also deceived the Vice Chancellor by obtaining his signature on the order taking advantage of his urgency during the trip to Canada. Meanwhile, there was resentment among the Central Library staff due to this act of favoritism by Incharge. According to sources, Incharge Central Library, Prof Kuldip Sharma has included the name of a contractual Assistant Director, whose tenure barely last for 90 days and requires further enhancement of the contract period, into the committees whose tenure last for a year. He committed this act only due to the fact that this person is a son of his colleague who is also an important official in JU. While, some of the insiders have alleged that Prof Kuldip Sharma had managed the signature of the Vice Chancellor on the said order taking the benefit of his urgency during the Canada trip few days back.. It is to mention that Local Fund Committee and Internet committee are constituted on yearly basis by Incharge Central Library with the approval of Vice Chancellor. Each committee is consisted of five members and the said blue eyed has been included in both the committees despite of the fact that he is on a contractual appointment which is subjected to revision after the completion of 90 days.
