| Justice Alam to take oath as Acting CJ on June 6 | | |
JAMMU, JUNE 04:- Justice Aftab Alam of Patna High Court, who was transferred to Jammu and Kashmir High Court, will take oath on June 6 at Srinagar according to the High Court source.
Justice Aftab Alam presently Second Pusine Judge of Patna High Court on his transfer here as a judge of the High Court will function as Acting Chief Justice after taking the oath of Judge of the High Court.
Justice Aftab Alam born on April 19, 1948 and after completion his law enrolled as an advocate on March 27, 1973 and practiced in labour and constitutional cases. Worked as Additional Central Government Standing Counsel in Patna High Court from September 7, 1981 to September 6, 1985 and was designated as Senior Advocate by the Patna High Court on February 1, 1984 and later elevated as permanent Judge of the Permanent High Court on July 27, 1990.
