A youth was shot dead in a cold blooded manner by some pistol carrying youths at Purmandal Morh under the jurisdiction of Gangyal Police Station this morning. when two parties were clashed with each other over a land dispute in Purmandal Morh under the jurisdiction of Police Station Gangyal this morning. Land dispute was stated to be the reason behind the murder of the youth. Meanwhile, Police has launched a hunt to nab the murderers and arrested one of the youth involved in the murder.
According to reports, today morning some persons traveling in a car no JK02AD-2300 came out and fired shot on Vijay Kumar, son of Joginder Paul of Ward No 4, Bishnah with pistol and fled from the spot leaving behind the victim in a pool of blood. On the receipt of information, a police team from Gangyal police station rushed to spot and took the injured to GMC where doctors declared him as brought dead. Later, Police launched a hunt in the area to nab the attackers and arrested one Shamsher Singh son of Natha Ram resident of Jallo Chak who attacked the youth and recovered weapon of offence from his possession.
Meanwhile, Police has registered a case under section 302 RPC in this regard and investigating the matter. Sources said, the exact reason behind the attack has said to be land dispute in Bari Brahmna. Police also investigating the circumstances in which the victim gone to Purmandal area from Bishnah. Reports said the youth left his house yesterday evening and early in the morning he was murdered in Purmandal area.
