Jammu, June 04 Army today claimed to have foiled yet another infiltration bid along the Line of Control and gunned down four militants in Rajouri district on Monday morning. A forward column of army intercepted a group of militants who had just infiltrated to this side of border near LoC in Tarkundi area of Rajouri district, early this morning, defence spokesman Lt Col Goswami told News Agency of Kashmir. The troops challenged the armed militants, who tried to flee back under the cover of heavy fire. In the retaliatory action four militants were gunned down, while two others managed to escape, the spokesman added. The identity of the slain militants could not be ascertained immediately. The spokesman said that the troops recovered four AK rifles along with 21 magazines, 310 rounds of ammunition, four UBGL, nine hand grenades, one wireless set, one antenna and three wire cutters from the site of the encounter. The security forces have foiled at least five such infiltration bids along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir in last ten days. Similarly, militants made an infiltration bid in Keri sector of Rajouri district but retreated back when they were confronted by security forces on May 25
