| ADDC inspects flood control works at Dansal | | |

Additional District Development Commissioner Jammu Mr Charanjeet Singh inspected flood control works executed under various schemes through Flood Control Division Jammu in Dansal area yesterday. The works included construction of p/work in Dhok Wazarian executed under NABARD, construction of p/work at Tawi Vihar Colony Sidhra under state plan, construction of p/work downstream stud No 3 under state plan and construction of p/work in Simla, Sanorka and Karli villages executed under NABARD.
The ADDC directed the executing officers to gear up the pace of work on ongoing works and ensure their completion within stipulated time frame.
A delegation of the local people highlighted the problems being faced by them due to floods. They demanded adequate number of crates be laid down for protecting their life and property. He directed executing agency at site that priority shall be given to protection of residential houses and wells/drinking water sources and thereafter other works shall be taken in hand.
