| Lok Adalat settles 30 cases at Kathua | | |
JAMMU, JUNE 06
A Lok Adalat was held District Court Complex, Kathua today under the chairmanship of Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Kathua (Principal District and Sessions Judge), Mr. S. K. Jamwal.
A total of 39 cases pertaining to MACT, matrimonial and petty criminal cases of different nature were taken up in the Lok Adalat and 30 were settled by way of mediation, conciliation and negotiation. An amount of Rs. 7.44 lakh was awarded as compensation in seven claim petitions listed before the Lok Adalat and Rs. 6,700 was also realized as fine in traffic challans.
