| Sarthal Mela witnessing heavy tourist influx | | |

Thousands of pilgrims and locals as well are thronging Bani tehsil to attend 5-day mega Sarthal Mela which was inaugurated by Minister of state for Revenue, Finance, Planning, Law and Parliamentary affairs Mr. Prem Sagar Aziz on 4th of June, 2007.
In this mega event, various departments have installed their stalls besides private entrepreneurs have also displayed their products. The local and out state cultural troupes are presenting cultural programmes which is receiving great applause from the audience besides campfires has also become a unique attraction for the people.
The main objective of holding this mela is to bring Sarthal on world tourism map. The Tourism Department is holding Paragliding, skating and trekking events at Sarthal which is being appreciated by the people.
The district administration has made elaborate arrangements of security, Drinking water, Power Supply, accommodation etc for the visitors.
