DDC convenes public darbar at Manjakote

RAJOURI, JUNE 06
On the instructions of Chief Minister Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad, District Development Commissioner Rajouri Mr Rafiq Ahmed Sheikh today conducted 3rd public darbar at tehsil Manjakote.
Among others Additional District Development Commissioner Mr K.L Khajuria, Assistant Commissioner Development Mr Ashok Sharma, Chief Planning Officer Mr Manoj Kumar, Chief Education Officer Mr. Shapoo, Executive engineers PHE and PDD besides district and block level officers were present on occasion.
Mr Sheikh asked the people to come forward and highlight their problems. He said that the government has provided the people a platform where every one has right to explain their problems without any fear and frustration so that these could be addressed on the spot.
The people of the block expressed their satisfaction over the significant step of conducting public darbar at district, tehsil and block level taken up by the Chief Minister. The people projected their demands including shortage of doctors and paramedical staff in the Primary Health Centre Manjakote, construction of link roads and school buildings, drinking water and electricity to left over hamlets, completion of spill over works in the areas as early as possible besides employment to the youth of the areas.
Earlier, the DDC inspected two link roads viz Manjakote to Saleri under construction, Manjakote to Hayatpura fair-weather road completed upto eight kilometers. He directed the executing agencies to accelerate the pace of work for timely completion.
Responding to the demands, the DDC issued instructions to the officers to sort their important issues so that people could feel a sigh of relief. He assured the people that their genuine demands would be solved in a phased manner.
During the daylong public darbar, most of the cases were disposed off on the spot.
