| 5-day orientation workshop held under NRHM | | |

Jammu and Kashmir State Health Society has organized a 5-day orientation workshop for District Programme and Programme Management Support Unit (DP&PMSU) Officers at Rehbar-e-Sehat complex Jammu.
The programme was inaugurated on 5th June by Director Health and Family Welfare Dr Jasbir Singh and Project Director, RCH Dr R K Khajuria.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Jasbir highlighted the importance of the mission in improving the health care services in the state. While stressing that NRHM was neither a project nor a programme but a mission, he expected that all officers involved in implementation of the mission would work with a missionary zeal.
Dr Khajuria gave a detailed briefing about the background and challenges of NRHM and its scope and hoped for dedicated efforts from all the officers in its implementation. He hoped for a visible change in the present healthcare system with the induction of professionals like MBA’s, CA’s and IT experts.
The programme is being attended by 36 participants representing six districts of Jammu division.
A similar programme is expected to be organized at Srinagar in the 3rd week of June.
