| Lady worker illegally detained by Brick kiln owner | | HC directs SHO Ramgarh to the search Brick kiln, trace the lady | |
JAMMU, JUNE 07 :- Justice JP Singh of Jammu and Kashmir High Court, Jammu wing, today in habeas corpus petition filed by the husband of the lady, who was allegedly detailed illegally by owner of the Brick-Kiln owner, directed SHO P/S Ramgarh to search the brick-kiln of Sunil Khullar located at Majua Tehsil and District Samba and locate Mrs. Binder w/o petitioner David, if found in illegal custody she shall be set to liberty forthwith. This significant order has been passed in a habeas corpus petition filed by one David r/o Village Dharan-kot Bagga Tehsil Batala District Gurdaspur supported by an affidavit in which Advocate Akshay Anand appeared for the petitioner and submitted that the petitioner along with his wife were working in the brick-kiln of Sunil Khullar . While demanding wages for the work done by them, the petitioner and his wife were beaten and threatened by Khullar that he will kill him if he will demand the pay and said that his wife has been illegally detained and petitioner ousted from the area by using force. Justice JP Singh after hearing Advocate Akshay Anand observed that the Court is satisfied that Mrs. Binder w/o petitioner and a laborer from Punjab had been illegally detained by one Sunil Khullar a brick-kiln owner, who was releasing her from custody and had threatened to harm the petitioner and his wife in case they repeated their demand for wages. Mrs. Binder having been illegally detained by the owner of the brick-kiln thus need to be restored her liberty and issued direction to SHO P/S Ramgarh for search of brick-kiln.
