| 2 girls among 3 died, 2 injured | | | Srinagar June 8 At least three persons including two girls were killed in separate road accidents across the Kashmir valley during the last twenty four hours. Official sources told that a girl Rubeena daughter of Ghulam Mohammed Dar resident of Pattan died after she was hit by a Sumo on National Highway at Pattan. Sources quoting eye witness told News Agency of Kashmir that an over speedy sumo coming from opposite side hit the girl resulting injuring her critically, adding she was immediately shifted to hospital where she was declared as brought dead. The people of the area catch hold of the driver and handed over him to police. Police has registered a case against the driver and seize the vehicle, Sources added. In another accident a motorcyclist hit and injured a girl identified as Rifat, daughter of Ab. Rehman Ganai, resident of Rozbal at Khanyar. She was taken to SKIMS Soura where she succumbed to her injuries. Meanwhile, a TATA Sumo bearing registration number JK01J 5069 hit motorcyclist at Wagub Crossing in Baramulla district of North Kashmir. The motorcyclist died on the spot. Two pillion riders were also injured in the accident and were shifted to district hospital. The deceased motorcyclist has been identified as Mohd Altaf Rather son of Ab. Rehman, resident of Tarzoo Sopore, while the identity of two others was not ascertained immediately. A Case has been registered in this regard and investigations taken up by the Police.
