| 3 army personnel killed, 25 wounded in road mishap | | |

At least three army personnel were killed and twenty-five others were wounded when a bus carrying them skidded off the road and fell into a gorge on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, near Udhampur.
Sources said that an army convoy was on its way from Srinagar to Jammu. When the convoy reached near Udhampur one of the bus skidded off the road and fell into a gorge at Godgri Morh near Udhampur.
Three army personnel were killed on the spot and twenty-five others were wounded in the mishap, defence spokesperson told, adding the injured have been shifted to command Hospital Udhampur.
They said that a rescue operation was immediately launched and the injured were shifted to Udhampur command hospital. Condition of seven of the injured soldiers was stated to be critical.
One of the deceased has been identified as Hawaldar Roop Singh and the identification of others soldiers could not be ascertained immediately.
