| PNB disburses 4 Cr under ‘Utsav Ujala’ | | | R S Pura | June 9 Continuing its proactive role in the economic development of the state, Punjab National Bank, J&K Zone disbursed loans aggregating to Rs. 4 crores in a function at R.S. Pura today. The year long functions under SPREAD (Strucured prgramme for retail lending enterprise and agri business development) series are being organized by the Bank all over the state to create awareness about various loans schemes under Retail and Poverty alleviation segment. Today’s function titled Utsav Ujala was the seventh under the series and was organized by three branches - R S Pura, Arnia and Miran Sahib at R S Pura. Dr. Kamal Sinai, (IPS), SSP, Guest of Honour at the function shared the dais with Chief Guest MLC R S Chib and Zonal Manager Punjab National Bank J&K Zone. Sh. Vivek Arya Zonal Manager Punjab National Bank, J&K Zone Informed the gathering that the Bank is determined to achieve credit outlay budget of Rs 400 crores set for current fiscal. For this the Bank has conceived an year long pending programmes titled SPREAD 2007-2008 where in an aggressive fresh lending shall be done by various branches in the entire state with twin fold objective ie; to improve the C D Ratio of the Bank and to contribute significantly to the Economic development of the state, he added. It was also informed by Arya that state of art technology with ATM facility has been brought to this border town by PNB to ensure hassle free payments to about 5000 ex-community in particular to visit the branch and open their accounts and avail all benefits available under Agriculture Department to devise and formulate any scheme for agriculturist of the area which he assured to get readily implemented by the Bank. R S Chib, MLC chief guest at the function appreciated the service available to Defence Personnel especially Army Jawans and Ex-servicemen from Bank not only in the state but in all other parts of the country. Dr. Kamal Saini (IPS), SSP informed that he was always impressed by the enormous goodwill generated by employees of PNB through their customer service not only at R S Pura but in the entire length and breadth of the state.
