REASI, JUNE 09- Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu Mr. Kartar Singh today granted bail in favour of 21 employees of CAPD Department including Incharge Assistant Director CAPD Ramban and 20 Inspectors posted in the city of Jammu. These CAPD Officers namely Vijay Kumar Singh Incharge Assistant Director Ramban, Joginder Singh, Kulbir Singh, Jagdish Chander, Rajinder Singh Preet, TP Singh, Parveen Chander, Surinder Kumar Sharma, Faqauir Singh, Purshotum Singh, Karan Singh, Deepak Kumar, Rajinder Singh Wazir, Ashok Magotra, Mohan Singh, Dheeraj Singh, Ramcharan, Vijay Kumar Verma, Jagdish Raj and Ram Krishan all area inspectors of Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department Jammu filed this anticipatory bail application through Advocate Vijay Gupta in which it has been submitted that the crime branch Jammu has registered a case against the petitioners u/s 420, 120-B RPC r/w section 5(1) (d) PC Act and 3/7 EC Act in which the petitioners submitted that they are Area Inspectors of Jammu and it is their duty to supervise the distribution of kerosene oil as approved by the Director, Deputy Director and Assistant Director and seeking pre-arrest bail. Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu Mr. Kartar Singh after hearing both the sides observed that Crime Branch Jammu has filed its report through CPO, the CPO as well as the IO are present in the Court has stated that the petitioners have not been nominated in the case at present but they are required to be interrogated by the police of Crime Branch. The involvement of the petitioners in the commission of alleged offences has not yet been prima-facie established by the IO. They have therefore, made out a prima-facie case for their release on bail. It is therefore, directed that in the event of their arrest in the FIR NO 31/2007, they shall be admitted to bail on their furnishing surety bonds and bail bonds in the amount of Rs 10,000/- each. Court directed them to attend the investigation as and when directed by Investigating Officer, failing which their bail bonds shall stand, cancelled. Court further directed IO to submit his report in the Court to whether the petitioners are cooperating with him during investigation or not. JNF
