| Congress has no courage to oppose Valley based politicians; Khajuria | | | Jammu June 9 President State Unit of BJP Ashok Khajuria has taken Congress, PDP and NC leaders to task for beating their own drums doing nothing to mitigate the problems of the masses. He was addressing a meeting called to take stock of the present political scenario in the state and organizational activities in different districts. State Office Bearers, District Presidents and Morcha heads also attended the meeting. The District Presidents and morcha heads submitted detailed reports of their respective districts and morchas to the party leadership on this occasion. Khajuria, alleged the people are not getting even basic commodities, prices are sky rocketing and militants are still targeting the innocent and patriotic people. But these parties are only talking of demilitarization, self rule, autonomy and promoting all such things which suits separatists and fundamentalists. Reacting on the statement of Congress MP that NC and PDP are biased towards Jammu, Khajuria described it as a bundle of lies and asked if Congress is not biased towards Jammu, why it supports all such bills that benefits valley only. Its continuation in the coalition with PDP clearly shows that the Congress is more concerned to remain in power and lacks courage to oppose the valley-based parties for adopting anti-Jammu approach. Its leaders are shedding only crocodile tears as they are afraid of facing the wrath of the people in the coming days. If Congress is aware of the fact that PDP is biased towards Jammu, why it does not come out of the coalition, asked Ashok Khajuria. BJP National Executive Member and former State President Dr. Nirmal Singh, in his address, held Congress responsible for the miserable plight of the, 1947, 1965, 1971 and those from Chhamb. He demanded grant of citizenship rights to all the refugees and provision of permanent jobs to educated youth according to their educational and professional skills. The party leaders also observed 2-minute silence for the peace of the departed soul of Hans Raj, a veteran activist of Jana Sangh, Praja Parishad and BJP, who left for his heavenly abode a few days ago at Udhampur. Daya Krishan Kotwal, Prof. Hari Om, Th. Ranjit Singh, C.P. Ganga, Ajay Jamwal, Shamsher Singh Manhas, Bali Bhagat, Pt. Govind Ram Sharma, Jyoti Parkash sharma, Yudhvir Sethi, Vibodh Gupta, Sat Sharma, Shiv Kumar Gupta were among those who attended the meeting.
