| DDC convenes open darbar at Sunderbani | | | RAJOURI, JUNE 10 On the directions of Chief Minister Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad, District Development Commissioner Rajouri Mr Rafiq Ahmed Sheikh conducted open darbar in Sericulture hall Sunderbani today. Mr Sheikh apprised the public that as per the guidelines of the Chief Minister a programme has been chalked out to organize public darbar in each Niabat/tehsil and block headquarters of the district aimed at to sort out the problem and issues of the public concern and their solutions on the spot. He appealed the people to come up with their issues with an open mind. The people in large number including women turned up in the darbar and projected their demands which include approach road from Fulwari to Swami Vishatmanad Sarswati Degree College via Keri, drinking water to the habitants of ward No 2, Channi Prat, Marchola, Lower Bhjwal. Besides, like roads pacca road from Kalideh to Charnote a sacred place of Baba Narsingh ji situated at the height of above 5000 feet construction of two km Madwal link road to be connected with the main road and one km Fulwari to Kund link road. Keeping in view of low voltage and its augmentation of power supply, the people demanding a transformer for Kund village. In another demand, DDC was apprised that a protection band along bank of Sodra Nala is needed to protect agriculture land from erosion during rainy season. The people unanimously projected the demand of a Urdu teacher in each primary school of the block. The DDC was requested that functionaries of the veterinary be directed for timely vaccination to the livestock and their treatment to avoid out break of diseases like hoping cough, black quarter and haemosaptina etc. In addition upgradation of primary school and anganwari center in Kund. Meantime, refugee welfare association presented a memorandum with regard to their issues. Among others who attended the darbar was SDM Nowshera, Assistant Commissioner Development, Project Officer, Executive Engineers PHE and R&B, Tehsildar and Block/Zonal functionaries. Responding to the demand of people, DDC issued on the spot instructions to all the concerned officers to take immediate steps for addressing the grievances and important issues so that people may feel sigh of relief. He exhorted upon the officers to put in their sincere efforts while executing developmental works and implementation of welfare schemes. During the darbar, numbers of cases were disposed off on the spot.
