| Night curfew imposed along Indo-Pak border | | | Jammu, June 10 With intelligence reports of infiltration from across the border coming in, the Jammu and Kashmir government on Sunday ordered night curfew along the Indo-Pak border of the district, an official said.
The district magistrate Hardesh Kumar imposed night curfew and total restriction on the movement of people from 2200 hours to 0500 hours in areas falling within one kilometre from the international border, he said adding that a notification has been issued in this direction.
However, under exceptional circumstances, if a Station House Officer (SHO) of police post or commandant of BSF or a Border Out Post (BOP) commander access it necessary to allow any person to move during curfew hours due to emergency situations, such persons would be permitted to travel through the restricted area by issuing them curfew passes, he said.
As far as the farming activity is concerned, the village head would provide the details to border security force to facilitate them to carry out agricultural operations.
The measures have been taken in view of the intelligence report of possible massive infiltration of armed militants along the international border in Jammu sector.
