| One electrocuted, another dies after consuming alcohol | | |
Srinagar June 10
One person was killed when he received electric shock at his residence in Beerwah area of Budgam district, while another villager died due to excessive consumption of alcohol in the same district.
An official spokesman said that twenty-two years old Muzaffar Ahmad Sheikh son of Abdul Gani of Kandoora fell unconscious after receiving electric shock at village Kandoora Beerwah falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Beerwah.
Sheikh was immediately rushed to hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, the spokesman said adding, and the body has been later handed over to legal heirs after completing legal formalities.
Meanwhile, in a rear incidents seen in Kashmir an old man died due to excessive consumption of alcohol in Baran Pather Batamaloo falling under the jurisdiction of police station Batamaloo.
Identified as Muhammad Yaseen Gatho son of Late Muhammad Yousaf, the body of the aged villager was noticed lying outside by some villagers who informed the police.
