| Abducted Thanmandi girl recovered from Jammu, two held | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Mar 7 : Police today recovered a minor kidnapped girl from the procession of her abductors from Jewel Chowk area at Jammu besides arresting the main accused and his helper.
"The accused have been identified main accused namely as Saddam Hussain s/o Mohd Rafiq and co-accused Mohd Rafiq s/o Ali Akbar both resident of village Behrote in Thanamandi tehsil," police sources said.
Giving details, police sources said, "On February 22 one Mohd Munshi of village Saj lodged a complaint with Police Station Thanamandi stating therein that his minor (17 yrs) daughter (name with held) was kidnapped /abducted by one Saddam Hussain resident of Behrote on the intervening night of February 21/22."
They said, "Following directions from Dr Haseeb Mughal a case FIR 29/2015 under sections 363/109 RPC stands registered while police team was constituted under the supervision of ASI, Nazir Ahmed to recover the abducted girl."
"The Police sources were fanned out and mobile numbers of the accused too were put on surveillance at Jammu, police said adding, "on specific input Police team rushed to Jammu and police team recovered the kidnapped and arrested the main accused from Jewel Chowk area alongwith with his co accused.
" The girl and accused were brought to Thanamndi where further investigation into the matter is on, said SHO Thanamandi. He added that after legal formalities and medical examination, the girl was handed over to the her family, police said. |
