| JKSPYM organizes camp for drug addicts | | | Jammu | June 10 A month low cost community bases care and support program for drug addicts long organized from may 25 to June 25 by the JK Society for Promotion of Youth and Masses (JKSYPM) a national NGO working in the field of health and development with the special assistance of United Nations Office of Drug and Crime is being attended by large number. The first fortnight was entirely devoted for home detoxification – a device under which a medicine named Addnok Buperonorphine tablets was given to the patients to make their withdrawal period easier and more comfortable while living in their own community set up. The second fortnight of the program was inaugurated today by MLA, Raman Bhalla, at the Govt. Boys High School, Satwari. On this occasion, Bhalla stressed upon the need for rehabilitation of the drug addicts by providing suitable jobs and creative engagements. Counselling, Yoga group therapy, recreational activities like games will be arranged by the organization for the clients during this fortnight. Family members of the clients are also involved to help the clients in coming out from the trauma of addiction.
