NC holds one day delegate session at Ramsoo

Jammu | June 10
A one day delegate session of National Conference (NC) of Block Khari, Banihal and Pogal Paristan was held at Ramsoo yesterday. The delegate session was convened to discuss besides organizational issues. The problems being faced by the people of remote areas Large, number of delegates and prominent leaders participated in the session.
During the course of discussion the delegates apprised provincial President-Ajay Sadhotra and the team about various problems being faced by them in their respective areas. The major issues which came under discussion were :-
Frequent unscheduled power cuts due to which the people of these areas are the worst sufferer. Shortage of teaching staff educational institutions and Shortage of essential commodities like atta, sugar, rice and kerosene oil, Shortage of doctors in the hospitals.
The NC delegates passed resolutions to provide employment to the unemployed educated youth and provide Medicare to the poor and downtrodden people in the Government Hospitals. In another resolution the delegates demanded that Tehsil status should be given to Ramsoo Block and a treasury should also be provided at Ramsoo.
While addressing the delegate Sadhotra congratulated the people of Banihal constituency for their historic role in maintaining communal harmony and brotherhood. He said National conference is always committed to strengthen the secular fabric of the state which was very dear to party’s founder late Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah.
He also charged government for its utter failure to address the problems of remote and far flung areas o the state particularly Banihal constituency. He called upon the delegates to identify themselves with the problems of the people and ensure that they are part of government in the coming elections. He said NC is committed to uplift downtrodden people particularly people residing in remote and hilly areas of the state. He demanded that Government should provide government jobs to the unemployed youth of these hilly areas as there is no other option to the unemployed educated youth.
On the occasion Rattan Lal Gupta, Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Dr. Chaman Lal MLA Ramban, Th. Kashmira Singh, Anila Shaheen, Farooq Mir, Chander Mohan Sharma, Sunil Verma, Abdul Katoch, Desh Bandu, Amrti Varsha, Akthar Malik, Afzal Malik, Alif Din, Mohd Sharif, Mushtaq Ahmed, Molvi Latif and S. Sucha Singh also address the convention.
