| Women empowerment day celebrated | | | Poonch | June 10
Krishna Ghati Brigade organized a women empowerment day near Baba Garib Das Mandir, Salotyri hee today. A large number of villages, including women from villages of Ghani, Salotri, Jhallas, Kisti, New Salotri, Balnoi, Dara Dullian and Nambal attended the function.
The army which organized the entire event apprised the gathering that women are playing an important role in all spheres of life and there is no filed life untouched by the women, be it Medicine, Engineering, teaching, army and flying are no longer forbidden for women and they have made a mark for themselves in these fields. This day was organized to celebrate the achievements and contributions of the woman to the society.
On the occasion many games for children and ladies were organized. Free food stalls were also established.
A Medical team from Army was also established and free medicines were distributed to the needy.
Soldiers of Krishna Ghati Brigade have continuously been striving to bring the benefits of normalcy to the region and alleviate the problems of the locals of this border Area.
