| Nominate Karan Singh as ‘First Citizen of India’- SSH | | |

Shiv Sena Hindustan has urged the Congress President, Sonia Gandhi, to nominate Dr. Karan Singh for the prestigious post of ‘First Citizen of India’.
In an appeal made to the UPA Chairperson, Dimpy Kohli, President of the party described Karan Singh as a national and international personality and a man of action. He said the former Sader- i- Riyasat and Union Minister is associated with several religious and social organizations and has always been in the forefront against untouchability, dowery system and fought for empowerment of the women .
Kohli said that Dr Singh is credited to have worked with different Prime Ministers at different times including Jawahar Lal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi and now with Sonia Gandhi, the AICC Chief.
Kohli said, “ Karan Singh is a true secular, committed to the national unity and integrity with an international stature’
Kohli has appealed the Congress President, Sonia Gandhi to nominate Dr Karan Singh as the UPA nominee for the presidency.
