Jammu | June 11 The 7th batch of Tawi Trekker from Jammu and Kashmir, comprising students of Light House Public School, Jammu MHS DAV School, Akhnoor and Dogra Higher Secondary School, Jammu left today for Dalhousie under the overall supervision of Kehar Singh Langeh to participate in the Himalayan Trekking Programme being organized by the Club under the Chairmanship of Anil Goswami, Principal Secretary. Dr. Neeraj Sharma accompanied the group as Medical Officer. The group was flagged off by Gambhir Singh, Principal, Dogra Higher Secondary, Jammu. Speaking on the occasion, Ghambir Singh appreciated the role being played by Tawi Trekkers in preparing the young generation for facing the challenges of life boldly. Trekking brings out the best and plays an important role in the personality development of a person, he added. Meanwhile, 2nd group of trekkers of MHAC School, Nagbani, reached back here today. The group, under the guidance of Rohit Sharma, trekked all the 40 Kms from Dalhousie to Chamba and even trekked to Diankund (10000ft), to make it a really exciting and memorable experience.
