| Body of MES employee recovered, man commits suicide | | |
Srinagar June 11
Police recovered body of a Military Engineering Service employee, while a civilian committed suicide by hanging himself in two separate incidents across Kashmir region since last 24 hours.
Official sources told News Agency of Kashmir that some villagers noticed a body between Wuyan and Khrew falling under the jurisdiction of police post Khrew this morning and informed the police.
A police team rushed to the spot and shifted the body to a local hospital. The deceased was later identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Naikoo (employee of MES posted at CBS Khrew), son of Ismail Naikoo of Sharshali.
Police said that burn and torture marks were visible on the body and preliminary investigation suspect that Mushtaq has been killed.
Meanwhile, police spokesman said that one Muhammad Ashraf Khan son of Farooq Ahmad of Gopal pora Nagri Chanpora Srinagar committed suicide at his residence by hanging himself.
He was shifted to hospital but doctors declared him brought dead. The cause of suicide was not known immediately. |
