| Chenab College celebrates Annual day | | |

The Chenab College of Education today celebrated its 8th Annual day function here today. Prof. Amitabh Mattoo, Vice Chancellor Jammu University (JU) was the chief guest on this occasion while Prof NA Ganai, Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) presided over the function. Dr. Meenakshi Kilam, Director College Development Council, JU and Harbans Singh, Former Minister and patron of the Forum of Recognized Colleges were the guests of honour.
RS Chib, Member Legislative Council and Chairman, Chenab Education Trust welcomed the guests and highlighted the achievements of the college. He said that over the period College has become an excellent institute of learning under the directions and guidance of JU. He appreciated the role of Dr. Meenakshi Kilam for creating and understanding between the University and the College Managements.
While speaking on the occasion Dr. Kilam emphasized on the need to create better coordination among the University and Colleges in order to ensure their smooth running and to achieve excellence in the field of Education.
Meanwhile, chief guest Prof. Mattoo distributed the prizes among the students. The all round best prize for the session 2005-2006 was bagged by Geetanjali. Earlier, students presented various cultural items to mark the occasion.
