| Mehbooba violates security concerns | | Opts militancy infested route to travel | |

People’s Democratic Party (PDP) president and member parliament, Mehbooba Mufti who is on week long tour of Rajouri and Poonch border region violated all security concerns of district administration Rajouri and opted to travel through a route which has been abandoned for any VIP movement since the eruption of militancy in the region. This is for the first time during past seventeen years when any VIP has dared to travel through Dera Ki Galli (DKG) route despite the pre requests by the district administration Rajouri not to go through this route. The district administration Rajouri is also said to have informed the government regarding the violation of security concerns by said VIP.
Giving details, sources said, despite “No” from district administration Rajouri, PDP president Mehbooba Mufti did choose to travel through Dera Ki Galli route for district Poonch on Monday morning. Dera Ki Galli route has been declared unsafe for the movement of any VIP by the security agencies for the past seventeen years. And no VIP dared to travel through this route since then, said sources.
The reliable official sources told The early Times that they have informed the government regarding the violation of security concerns by PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti. Sources said though she is guarded by a complete ‘Z’ security cover but it doesn’t mean to take any risk.
Not only this, sources said, Mehbooba also created problems for Poonch administration . Some reliable administrative sources in the border district Poonch told this correspondent that PDP chief was not caring about the security concerns of the administration and is continousely visiting the areasconsidered to be unsafe. " We have also expressed our concern to the government that Mehbooba Mufti is not cooperating with the security agencies", said an officer wishing not to be mentioned .
Here, the sources said she opted to address a public meeting in village Fazalabad of Surankote tehsil which is still said to be unsafe as per the security agencies and keeping in view the past seventeen years record of the village.
By visiting and travelling through most militancy infested areas, observers are of the opinion that Mehbooba wants to convey the message to the electorates that her party has full support of militants.
