Bangalore, August 9,President APJ Abdul Kalam would dedicate the Alamatti dam built across Krishna River in Karnataka to the nation on August 21.
The dam would be named after former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, State Water Resources Minister KS Eswarappa said on Wednesday.
Former Prime Ministers Atal Behari Vajpayee and HD Deve Gowda would also be attending the function, he said.
