| Case registered against Retired Joint Managing Director J&K SRTC” | | |
Jammu: June 13 State Vigilance Organization today registered a case FIR No.38/2007 (P/S VOK) against Mohammad Yousuf Dar, retired Joint Managing Director, J&K State Road Transport Corporation after it was revealed that the said retired officer, while in service, had acquired various movable and immovable assets which appear to be disproportionate to his known sources of income. He has recently constructed a four storied Hotel at the Old Secretariat Road under the name and style “ Marhabba” after dismantling old structure. He has spent a huge amount on the massive repairs of his four storied house at Buchwara, Srinagar and has also constructed another residential house for his daughter and Son-in-law. Besides he has purchased 15 marlas of land at Munwarabad Main Road near Petrol Pump and 2.10 Kanals of land at Harwan. The accused has also acquired landed property at various places and has been keeping number of Bank accounts in his name and in the name of his family members. The officer has retired only last month from the Government service.
The Vigilance officials conducted search at residential and business premises of the accused and has come across dozens of Bank accounts and documents related to the purchase of landed property at various places. Investigation of the case is in progress.
