Next Amrit Sanchar Samagam on September 30

Various Sikh organizations have thanked the Sikh Sangat for their overwhelming response to the historic ‘Amrit Sanchar Samagam’ and ‘Gurmat Samagam’ held recently at Digiana Ashram.
Addressing a joint press conference of various Sikh bodies here today, Sikh leaders informed that following the overwhelming response another ‘Amrit Sanchar Samagam’ is being held on September 30.
Speaking on the occasion, Sudershan Singh Wazir, former president Sikh Gurudwara Parbandhak Board said, “More than 30000 devotees participated in the function and remaining devotees who did not take Amrit will be given Amrit next time.’ Wazir described this occasion as historic one because this was for the first time in the history of Jammu that all the five jatedhars of the five takhats (seats) including Sri Akal Thakat Sahib had come to Jammu to offer ‘amrit’ to over 10000 Sikhs youths. He said that various Sikh organizations in association with Shriman Mahant Manjeet Singh Ji of Dera Shri Nangali Sahib Poonch along with Dharam Parchar Committee of Shriomani Gurudwara Parbandak Committee Amritsar organized this religious occasion. Speaking on the occasion, he specially thanked Jathedhar Avtar Singh President SGPC Amritsar for participating in both the functions despite his unwell health condition. Referring to overwhelming response to this religious occasion, Wazir informed that another Amrit Sanchar Samagam would be held on September 30 at Oigiana Ashram Jammu.
Members in this press conference further appealed to the Sikhs to follow the path shown by Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji and also appreciated the efforts done by Dera Sri Nangali Sahib Poonch for preaching Sikhism in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

S Narbir Singh President Shirmani Youth Akali Dal, S Gurdev Singh, Vice president Shiromani Akali Dal, S Mohinder Singh, Chief Organiser Bhai Kanhaya Niskam Sewa Society, S Paramjit Singh, President AISSF, S Manmohan Singh Chairman Gole Gujral, S Ramnik Singh Bijral, S Kulwant Singh, S Kultar Singh, S Rajinder Singh, S Gurdev Singh, S Harjit Singh Kartar S Gajan Singh Simbal Camp & S Kanchan Singh Chatha.
