| Farmers’ awareness camp at Prem Nagar | | |
DODA, JUN 13-Sher-i-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Jammu in collaboration with Agriculture Department organized the farmer’s awareness camp on “Role of agro forestry system in rearing of animals’ at Prem Nagar zone of Doda District. Eighteen progressive farmers of the area took part in the awareness programme which was inaugurated by Syed Abdul Haq A.E.O, Prem Nagar.
On this occasion, a detailed lecture on how to meet the fodder requirements for animals through agro forestry systems was delivered by Sanjay Khajuria. He advised the farmers to grow more and more trees of Grewia, Bauhinia, Robinia, Leaucaena to meet the fodder requirements.
He also replied several quarries from the farmers and announced that that similar awareness camps would be organized more frequently in the district.
