| CDC organizes awareness programme for private colleges | | |
Jammu | June 13 Colleges Development Council (CDC) in collaboration with Centre for Quality Assurance, University of Jammu today organized an awareness programme for all private degree colleges and the B. Ed colleges on new methodologies of assessment and accreditation by National Accreditation and Assessment Council. Around seventy participants, including chairpersons, principals and faculty members of various colleges attended the programme. Director Centre for Quality Assurance and Colleges Development Council Meenakshi Kilam expressed satisfaction over the working of the colleges especially improvements in teaching, learning and infrastructural facilities and the need for ushering into an era of public- private partnership in J&K by providing quality education focused on improving all the key performance areas. Dr. Angral spoke on the need for accreditation and motivated the private colleges to go in NAAC accreditation and also appreciated the efforts of the Director for providing platform for free interaction and also taking initiatives to create a congenial atmosphere between the university and colleges. Ginny Dogra, Assistant Director, Centre for Quality Assurance presented a detaiedl presentation on the new methodologies adopted by National accreditation and Assessment Council for accreditation. RS Dalpathia Assistant Registrar, CDC, presented vote of thanks.
