Srinagar, June 13 Sardar Kalu Khan Hamdard, president Kissan Mazdoor Party today accused coalition for not fulfilling its promises and commitments made with people during election 2002, adding not a single man has been benefited out of the schemes launched for the farmer and Mazdoor community of the state. Addressing a press conference here today, he said that government has failed to provide even basic amenities to the people particularly to the downtrodden sections of the society. Referring to the much hyped seed technology of the Agriculture department, Kalu said, lakhs of rupees were spent on the name of quality seeds and fertilizer but the fact is that no farmer was provided fertilizer or seeds on subsidized rates. "Not a single farmer has so far got any benefit under any scheme", he alleged. People of the state particularly from Kissan and Mazdoor communities are still at receiving end and are not being provided ration, kerosene oil and sugar. "Kissan of the state particularly in far-flung areas are on the verge of starvation", he said, adding that his party would launch a mass movement if adequate supply of food grain to people in far off areas was not ensured. He demanded immediate supply of ration, atta, Kerosene Oil and sugar areas where the people mostly Mazdoor and Kissan are living. He also demanded free education to the children of Kissan and Mazdoor community, so that they can raise their educational standard, adding Loans of Kissan and Mazdoor community should be waived off immediately so that they would be benefited with other schemes.
