| Governor visits Shelly’s residence | | |
JAMMU, JUNE 13
Governor Lt. Gen. (Retd) S. K Sinha today visited the residence of late Dy. S.P. Shelly Singh here and consoled the bereaved family.
General Sinha consoled the grand mother, mother and brothers of the Dy. SP, who was martyred in militancy related incident at Bhaderwah late last month.
Principal Secretary to Governor, Dr. Arun Kumar was also present and expressed condolences.
Gen. Sinha, who is also the Chairman of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, recalled the devotion and indepth knowledge of Shavism of Shelly Singh, which endeared him to thousands of pilgrims thronging Shri Amarnath Shrine during the past few years.
The Governor also lauded the valour and bravery of the young police officer
