| Union Home Secretary calls on CM | | |
Srinagar, June 13
– Union Home Secretary Mr. Madhukar Gupta called on Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad here this evening.
The Union Home Secretary also had a detailed meeting with the senior officers of the state government and discussed the matters with regard to the implementation of the outcome of 3rd roundtable conference held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh in New Delhi.
The Union Home Secretary during his one and a half hour meeting with Chief Minister apprised him about the action taken on various points of economic and social importance emerged during the three roundtable conferences and both Chief Minister and Union Home Secretary were of the firm view that the recommendations of the working groups are being taken seriously both by the state and central governments and will be implemented in due course of time.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister is hosting dinner this evening in honour of the senior officers of the Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Home Affairs accompanying the Union Home Secretary.
