| 8 Bangla nationals arrested along IB | | | Jammu, June 14 At least eight Bangla nationals among ten were arrested by Border Security Force, after they made an unsuccessful attempt to cross over to the other side of the International Border near AMK post in R S Pura sector, here this morning,. Official sources revealed that jawans of 141 Battalion spotted some moment near AMK post during wee hours. The group comprising of about ten members was asked to stop but they started running towards zero line, sources said adding, however eight of them were overpowered and arrested, while two escaped from the spot. He said rupees one thousand seven hundred and one (1701) Indian currency, three hundred (300) Pakistani currency and two (2) taka were recovered from their possession. They are being questioned by the intelligence agencies of Border security forces and will be handed over to local police. He added. A large number of Bangla nationals are being arrested along the International Border in Jammu, every month. Sources said that these nationals are being brought by an agent operating from Punjab on the promise that they will be taken to Pakistan. However, after bringing them to Jammu these nationals, mostly from Labour class, are left at the mercy of God and they usually land in police custody or get killed while trying to ex-filtrate to Pakistan side.
