| Smuggled timber seized, 4 arrested | | |
Srinagar June 14: Police today claimed to have has seized a large quantity of illegal timber in Tangmarg area of north Kashmir and arrested four smugglers in this connection.
Acting on specific information, Tangmarg Police seized the four horses carrying illicit deodar; sources told adding that four smugglers were also arrested who have been identified as Majid Majeed Khan, son of Gh. Rasool, Gh. Mohammad Mir, son of Ab. Gani, Gulzar Dar, son of Abdullah and Firdous Ganie, son of Asadullah all residents of Hardipora Magam.
Police has registered a case FIR. 47/07, U/S 379 RPC and section 6 of Forest act
