| Rs. 15 cr being utilized under TSP in Pulwama | | |
Srinagar, August 09 – About Rs.15.51 lacs are being utilized in Pulwama district under tribal-sub plan (TSP) during the current fiscal.
This was stated in an officers meeting chaired by District Development Commissioner, Mr. Mehraj Ahmed Kakroo at Pulwama today.
The Chief Planning Officer and senior officers of various departments were present.
The meeting was informed that during 2005-06, Rs.11.28 lacs were spent under tribal sub-plan for the over all development of the community. About 150 Gujjar students were provided training in computer and cutting and tailoring. Besides, two roads were constructed in Gujjar community areas.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC said that for upliftment to backward communities, various schemes have been launched by the government. He impressed upon the officers to redouble their efforts to provide better facilities to weaker sections of the society. |
