| SD holds government responsible for unemployment | | | Jammu June 16— Blaming the State Government for the prevailing chaos among the educated youth of the State, the state unit of Shakti Dal has held both the Centre and the state government responsible for growing employment. Referring to the on going agitation of the unemployed engineers and ITI diploma holders, who are struggling for the last few months for their adjustment on the pattern of ReTs, the SD leaders has accused the government for its delaying tactics, the party president Kuldeep Sharma maintained that despite announcement on the floor of the House about their adjustment under the scheme, nothing has been done on the ground so far forcing the educated youth to launch protests. He said that even some of them have started fast unto death amid scorching heat, and regretted that no one from the elected representatives has come to their rescue in these hard climatic conditions, which they are facing in the open lawns, in front of Divisional Commissioner’s office here Sharma said the number of unemployed engineers is much less than the vacancies available adding that against around 2500 unemployed engineers in the state the number of vacancies is reportedly around 10000, which are lying vacant in the various departments. Kuldeep Sharma, who was talking to media persons here today, said that the main cause behind the rise in the unemployed is the rampant corruption, prevalent in all the departments. Sharma also demanded an enquiry into the misappropriation of huge funds sanctioned by the centre governments for the betterment of the poor people. He alleged this money is being used by the fictitious NGO’s floated by the politicians and bureaucrats while the genuine NGOs who have been helping the poor and the downtrodden people have altogether been neglected, he added... He has made an appeal to the Jammuties to strengthen the party that is committed to safeguard their interests and work for equitable of all the regions and areas of the state. .
