| Scintillating multi-lingual mushiara held in memory of Rasa Javedani | | | Jammu, June 16 - As part of Bhadarwah tourism festival, Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages in collaboration with Bhadarwah Development Authority and Rasa Javedani Memorial Literary Society organized a state level mushiara at PG Degree College Bhadarwah last evening. A multi-lingual mushiara was organized in the memory of late Mr. Rasa Javedani, a renowned poet of the area. Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad was the chief guest on the occasion while Mr. Bashir Bhadarwahi, a reputed poet, presided over the mushiara. Paying rich tributes to late Mr. Rasa Javedani, Mr. Azad described him as a poet par excellence. He said that late Mr. Javedani was widely known at state and national level for his poetic genius. He said that late Mr. Javedani's birth anniversary is celebrated every year to remember his great literary contribution especially in the field of poetry, adding that this tradition should remain a permanent feature. Chief Minister said that a chair would be instituted in Jammu University (Bhadarwah Campus) in the name of late Mr. Rasa Javedani so that students could remember his contribution and get inspiration from this literary personality. Chief Minister also released a book "Fikr-e-Rasa", a poetic collection of late Mr. Rasa Javedani. Begum Rasa Javedani, who was also present on the occasion, was honoured by the Society. Several other personalities who have contributed for promotion of the Society were also honoured. Among others, Minister for Rural Development Mr. Jugal Kishore Sharma, MLC Mr. Mohammad Sharief Niaz, President Bhadarwah Municipal Committee Mr. Javed Azad, District Development Commissioner Doda Mr. Saurabh Bhagat, SSP Doda, Additional Secretary Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and Chief Executive Officer Bhadarwah Tourism Development Authority were also present
