| Bahu Fort residents calls on SE PHE | | |
Jammu June 17—
A delegation of Bahu Fort residents, led by the Saryara Sabha General secretary Surinder Kumar, called on Superintending Engineer, PHE and put forth their demands.
The delegation alleged that for the last few days the area has been facing acute shortage of drinking water, especially when the mercury had touched a high of 48 degrees and demanded adequate supply of water in the area. They also demanded deployment of water tankers in the deficit areas.
Superintending Engineer assured the delegation that efforts would be made to regulate water supply in the area so that the problem facing the people on this account could be minimized.
The other members of the delegation were Banarsi Lal Pangotra, Puran Chand, Surinder Kumar, Asha Nand and Ganga Ram.
